Experienced Procurement Field Representative (1st Shift)Company:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000286209Date Posted:2021-11-15-08:00Location:USA - El Segundo, CA, USA - Long Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: The Boeing Company is seeking (2) Experienced Procurement Field Representatives (Level 3's) to join our Global Field Operations (GFO) team. One position will be located in Los Angeles County and the other position will be in Orange County.Global Field Operations (GFO) is the presence of Boeing at its suppliers and sub-tiers, and are responsible for being the integrators for driving communication and resolutions in our supply base. It is the responsibility of Field Representatives to proactively problem solve and drive overall supplier recovery to ensure delivery and quality compliance.The position requires daily travel to suppliers in the surrounding Los Angeles and Orange County areas.The selected candidate will be required to be on-site at Supplier facilities daily, and may be required to work onsite occasionally at a Boeing site in Long Beach, CA and El Segundo, CA to meet business needs.Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor emergent offload/overload suppliers including outside processors, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.
  • Identify, establish and maintain priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Communicate across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
  • Co-facilitate with the supplier and procurement agent the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements.
  • Identify needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self-assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.
  • Participate with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
  • Monitor suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provide status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and report back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.
  • Assess supplier resource plan and reports results to supervisor/procurement agent.
  • Support supplier work movements to ensure seamless execution.

  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to travel/commute daily (up to 75%) - driving within the listed counties.
  • Must have a current valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing.
  • 1+ years of experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
  • 1+ years of experience in Supplier Quality.
  • 1+ years or experience in Project Planning; Scheduling; Project Management.
  • 1+ years of experience in Aerospace Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Manufacturing Operations.
