THE ROLE:

As Executive Director of HPN Oregon, the position is responsible for business development and the operations of High Performing Network of Oregon, LLC, including creation and implementation of growth and retention strategies, daily operations, assuring financial stability, development and implementation of new products, development, and implementation of new financial models, recruiting and retaining key physicians, and recruiting and retaining key staff. Additionally, this position will work closely with the CEO for the strategic planning process for the clinically integrated network which includes responsibility for moving Providence Health & Services OR from a volume-based health system to a value-based health system. This position will coordinate clinical integrated contracts and the Provider Network. This position will work with the CEO of HPN and the Board of Directors of HPN to advance the strategic objectives of the organization and to attain the short term and long-term objectives of the organization. The Executive Director will develop and maintain key relationships and partnerships within and outside of Providence Health & Services as well as HPN OR and be a champion of the shared vision for coordinated care and financial risk capabilities. Collaboration with physician leaders and the Providence Health & Services Oregon is essential to ensure the continued development of a patient-centered health network that supports improvements in care through broad active participation by a wide range of aligned groups.

Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director, High Performing Network-Oregon

  • Coordinate and lead with the strategic planning process, provides operational support for the strategic vison of the CEO and Board of Directors of HPN OR and ensures achievement of the strategic goals and objectives to position HPN OR for long-term success, consistent with PHS OR's established mission.
  • Oversee the CIN and ACO network build and ongoing maintenance of relationships with key provider partners. This will include contract negotiation, performance monitoring, oversight of risk-sharing models and financial reconciliation and development of strategies with external provider partners to meet the obligations of all contracts and maximize the performance of CIN and ACO contracts.
  • Lead building and maintaining relationships with major healthcare purchasers of HPN OR gainsharing and risk-sharing products. This will include employers who work directly with the healthcare system and may include certain key relationships with traditional health
  • insurance companies.
  • Establish infrastructure to coordinate all clinically integrated contracts and provides daily support to clinically integrated initiatives.
  • Responsible for growing the number of managed lives cared for in the Oregon region
  • Coordinate the design and development of the HPN OR annual report to reflect the progress and success of the organization.
  • Evaluate business opportunities, monitor national and local trends and maintain contacts in the community and with other health care providers to build innovative partnerships and programs.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Providence Medical Group in Oregon, the medical staff, legal counsel, regulatory agencies, local communities and other health systems, hospitals and organizations.
  • Coordinate daily operations of HPN OR, including contract management and physician inquiries to ensure the effective and efficient operation of HPN OR.
  • Manage relationships with any third-party vendors and/or third party administrators and customers including employers, state government/Medicaid, consumers, vendors, and health plans.
  • Must be available and willing to work such days and hours as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
