What you will be doing – People Specialist - Education
We are seeking a People Specialist - Education to help foster relationships with the Departments of Education in each state while we work to facilitate connections with our partner schools. You will be serving as the primary contact providing information, support and guidance for our teachers as they complete the reciprocity process. You will be responsible for the specific state reciprocity requirements and will facilitate any and all communication to the specific teachers allocated to a program that requires reciprocity and walk them through their individual process. You will be responsible for any communication with a school's HR department as well as our internal sales managers to ensure processes are followed. Elevate K-12 and the schools HR team can help monitor the progress of reciprocity to make sure our teachers are making the right progress.
Responsibilities – People Specialist - Education
- Serves as the primary contact providing information, support and guidance for our teachers as they complete the reciprocity process
- Ensures all teachers' certifications are in agreement between states to recognize teaching credentials issued by each other
- Interacts and communicates with Elevate K-12's partner schools with regards to reciprocity
- Manages our teachers through reciprocity process - Maintains contact with teachers to ensure completion of process
- Partners with our teachers to ensure access to all necessary documentation throughout the reciprocity process
- Develops in-depth knowledge of reciprocity requirements for each individual state
- Tracks and monitors data throughout the reciprocity process
- Recommends operational improvements to streamline reciprocity process
- Remains current on required teacher certification by state
Who you Are – People Specialist - Education
- 3+ years of human resources experience in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to build relationships and strong communication skills
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask and strong problem solving skills
- Ability to manage large amounts of data
- Understanding of teacher certification requirements by state preferred
- Experience working within a school district strongly preferred
