In this role you will drive the long-term strategic growth objectives for Micron's CNBU Client Segment Group. Leveraging a strong combination of thought leadership and domain expertise, this function will drive sustainable, profitable value-add for Micron as part of the Compute and Networking Business Unit.
The Client Segment product portfolio includes a comprehensive range of core PC DDR, LPDRR and high-performance Graphics DDR memory solutions which support the requirements of our end market focus. Based on secular growth opportunities across Cloud, AI, 5G connectivity and the intelligent edge, the structural definition, development, and delivery of a market leading Client Segment strategy is a key imperative for CNBU and Micron
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Define, develop, and deliver the long-term strategic goals and objectives for the Client Segment Group driving all business development, Marketing and customer program requirements
  • Drive and evangelize long term Customer development and engagement plans with a clear focus on 'customer intimacy' at our key partners.
  • Analyze, assess, and support all development infrastructure which drive deep technical engagements with key partners including but not limited to joint development lab activities, proof of concept initiatives and solution architecture opportunities.
  • Working with Sales and other key stakeholders, ensure that an extensive, holistic 'Executive Relationship' network is maintained and developed across all applicable Micron and Partner Executives.
  • Develop all strategic partnerships in technology, market development and outbound communications
  • Based on comprehensive, structured business development methodologies, drive all product focused growth plans identifying new market opportunities for the Client Segment portfolio.
  • Work across all areas of the Client Segment ecosystem including all internal and external partners to enable emerging markets including potential opportunities in the intelligent edge and inference space.
  • Ensure all market requirements are driven and communicated to key internal stakeholders enabling all critical aspects of product definition, product development and roadmap execution.
  • Drive all demand forecast and business planning requirements based on segment go-to-market plan targets in line with overall BU objectives.
  • Drive all Market Model activities for the portfolio including all TAM/SOM Analysis
  • Ensure all Supply Shaping and optimization processes are prioritized to achieve segment goals
  • Manage all roadmap requirements, aligning across all market and internal stakeholders
  • Support all Ecosystem development strategies and all related program initiatives in line with the go-to-market planning priorities driven by the CNBU Client segment team
  • Create, provide, and maintain systemic analysis of key industry and technology trends
  • Develop data-driven competitive intelligence and customer engagement modelling
  • Engage with industry wide stakeholders including all customers, key platform enablers, chipset vendors and ISVs where applicable to identify competitive environment trends and secular market drivers
  • Providing critical insights that support executive leadership decision-making objectives.
  • Engage as required in all market relevant standards bodies, consortia, industry development initiatives and research programs advocating and representing Micron strategic interests
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate opportunities for strategic growth via ecosystem partnerships, channel development, platform alliances and/or other appropriate engagements
  • Work with all key internal stakeholders including Sales, Customer Engineering and BU Product Line Management to achieve business plan targets
  • Develop scalable and effective communication and performance tracking capabilities via the implementation of project management processes and infrastructure support.


Education & Experience Necessary for Success

  • 8-10 years of market and business development experience in a related field
  • Proven track record of success in strategic customer engagement, market segmentation growth and ecosystem development.
  • Proven ability to work at senior executive level across all key internal and external stakeholders
  • Clear capability to drive and evangelize complex concepts from both a technology and business perspective
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or related field
  • Master's Degree / MBA preferred
