The Role

We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager at Darwin Homes who is excited at the opportunity to be the Investor's voice to the business and the business's voice to the Investor. This role will be tasked with partnering with our clients directly to ensure their SFR portfolio delivers on investment targets. You will lead all communication with our clients, while shaping and managing their strategy on the Darwin platform. Strong client focus with SFR experience and a track record of meeting expectations. Strong written and verbal communication will be expected, as will the ability to juggle multiple projects on tight timelines. This role is remote friendly with some occasional travel.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for investment and SLA performance for assigned portfolio(s)
• Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of the client's investment strategy and objectives
• Assist owners in tailoring their strategy as needed to achieve optimum results through data, reporting, and expertise
• Manage strategic communication between Darwin and the Owners Including regular reporting (KPIs, SLAs, and Financials)
• Drive resolution to any and all owner issues
• Coordinate with Client Success team regularly to ensure any exceptions to SLAs are resolved timely and performance is on track
• Maintain fiduciary responsibility for owner's investment
• All approval requests are reviewed and approved by the Portfolio Manager prior to being sent to an owner
• Regularly review the portfolio performance internally (SLAs, KPIs, Financials) across all functional areas for assigned portfolios
• Escalate any areas of concern or exposure that are leading to underperformance or over performance
• Assist in identifying strategic initiatives that will drive portfolio performance improvement towards established targets
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Darwin's Business processes across all areas of the organization
• Review and approve acquisitions on behalf of clients as needed ensuring alignment with investment objectives
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Have

• At least 5 years of real estate experience
• Hands-on experience driving an institutional portfolio to achieve investment targets
• Thorough understanding of the investment lifecycle and experience working with each phase of the business; Acquisitions, Renovation, Property Management.
• Strong business acumen and ability to read and interpret financial statements
• Strong modeling and analysis skills and a willingness to support decisions with data
• Willingness to dig in, adapt, drive change and deliver results in an evolving entrepreneurial environment
