A Better Opportunity

Better is seeking a Training Lead to drive our learning and development initiatives across the organization! In this role, you will design, implement, and oversee training programs that enhance employee skills and performance, ensuring alignment with our business objectives. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs, develop engaging content, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of various departments within Better Mortgage.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
  • Create engaging training materials, including presentations, e-learning modules, and interactive workshops that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring participants are actively engaged and able to apply new knowledge effectively.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to ensure training content is relevant, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making data-driven improvements as necessary.
  • Mentor and guide junior training staff, providing support in instructional design and delivery methods.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in training and development to incorporate innovative approaches into training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a combination of operations and training, with a strong emphasis on adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Proven experience in leading training programs within the financial services or mortgage industry is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in training tools and technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, focused on measuring training impact and effectiveness.
