About the Program
The LATAM Women Trainee Program in Operations is a pioneering initiative by Prysmian LATAM, designed to empower fresh women graduates in technical fields. This program offers a unique opportunity to launch a career in engineering or manufacturing, with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and professional development.
Unique opportunity
- Comprehensive Job Rotation: Trainees will participate in a structured rotation across key business areas, including R&D, Process Engineering, Quality, Production Maintenance, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), and Supply Chain. Each rotation is designed to provide hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the business.
- Practical Learning: In every rotation, trainees will be assigned value-adding tasks (e.g., conducting FMEA in Maintenance, TWI in Production, risk analysis in HSE) and will present their completed projects at the end of each phase.
- Exposure to Multiple Functions: The program covers a wide range of topics such as manufacturing processes, production planning, workplace safety, continuous improvement, innovation & technology, sustainability, and more.
- Professional Development: Trainees will benefit from digital trainings, leadership development, and participation in the Prysmian Academy.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotate through various operational departments, gaining practical experience in each.
- Complete assigned projects/tasks that contribute to business improvement.
- Present findings and results at the end of each rotation.
- Engage in continuous learning and development activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in feedback sessions.
Candidate Profile
- Female students in their final year of university/technical institute or recent graduates (between 2022 and 2025) in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electromechanical Engineering
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Automation, Instrumentation, and Control Engineering
- Other engineering degrees related to the industrial or productive sector.
- Interest to start journey on an engineering path in our industry and ready to embrace a new challenge.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Mastery of English is desirable.
- Strong motivation to learn, grow, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Program Structure
- First 18 months: Job Rotation through various functions within Prysmian LATAM to gain and enhance knowledge of our business and the key requirements.
- After completion: Promotion into an attractive engineering position based on availability and performance during the training phase, with further opportunities to develop and grow within our company.
