The Consumer Media Insights (CMI) & Consumer and Media View (CMV) Operation’s teams are responsible for ongoing delivery of survey data to clients in New Zealand and Australia. The Nielsen Consumer survey provides a 360 degree view of the consumer, and provides valuable insights to our clients on what people are, watching, buying and doing.
The Operations team, based in Bangalore, are seeking an enthusiastic, permanent new team member to join a hard working, collaborative team.
Day to day, The Operations Team leader will play an important role in impacting what data we provide to clients. They will work closely with key stakeholders in the CMI & CMV process to ensure the data we provide is high quality, accurate and timely.
Senior Operations Leads based in Australia & New Zealand: Responsible for the end-to-end data collection, production and resource management.
Programming team: Managing the back end of the survey. Communicating and updating the programmers on required changes and updates.
Customer Success team based in Australia & New Zealand: Work closely with the Operations team to ensure consistency in the data, supporting client requests & assisting meeting market needs. Making suggestions for ongoing improvement to the CMV & CMI Surveys.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6 to 7 individuals Organise, plan, control and monitor workflow, co-ordinating resources to ensure consistent completion of daily tasks in alignment with established service standards.
- Support team deliverables by undertaking a range of roles and tasks when required.
- Conduct survey testing and survey validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability
- Responsible for ensuring all Quality Control checks and analysis required are completed by local teams within the agreed timeframes and in accordance with documented procedures.
- Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within the given timeline.
- Collaborate effectively with the Pacific production team on a daily basis to ensure a smooth data delivery to CMV & CMI Clients.
- Contribute towards ongoing process improvement and implementation.
- Report daily tasks in resource reporting software.
- Work inclusively with your team and stakeholders.
- Input into the development of individual team members, ensuring cross training is carried out and there is sufficient knowledge and resource to cover absences.
- Troubleshooting technical data queries and assisting internal stakeholders.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Having at least 2 years experience in managing a small to medium team
- 7-10 years of total working experience
- Working Hours: 7am IST to 4pm IST
- Knowledge of end-to-end operational production workflows and methodologies
- Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining market research surveys and understanding of different surveying methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills & the ability to juggle competing priorities
- An interest in data analytics
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets preferred
- Knowledge of programming languages; SQL, Google Apps Script preferred
- Experience using a workforce planning/scheduling tool
