Job Description

Role background

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. We are growing rapidly and are now looking for a Payments & Cash Operations Team Lead to join our Central Operations team.

As a Payments & Cash Operations Team Lead, you will be managing and developing a team ensuring our cash and payments processes run smoothly and efficiently in multiple European countries. Your role will involve the long-term goal of reducing cash debt and ensuring that courier payments are processed on time every payment cycle. You will be responsible for data monitoring, managing key accounts and optimizing payment & cash processes. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, being proactive, and having a strong analytical mindset is important.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a functional team of payment & cash associates and specialists both in terms of daily performance and personal development.

Performance Management: Monitor and manage core KPIs of your team, including:

Cash orders: cash orders % of GOV, cash orders task acceptance %, cash at risk %, courier partners offloading performance (e.g. % of cash balance returned in 7 days)

Payouts: % of courier partners using instant payouts, % of payment issues solved by month

Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize cash and payment processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Understand, further improve current processes and keep our operations running smoothly.

It’s about spotting the good and finding ways to make things better, like tweaking processes to reduce cash debts, payments errors and enhance efficiency.

Accuracy of the processed data assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and standards to ensure data accuracy, especially when it comes to the processing of courier payout data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as the Courier Community, Onboarding team, Product team, Fintech team and Support team to address specific payment and cash issues and improvement possibilities.

Reporting and Analysis: Monitoring team performance and KPIs to senior management, offering actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

Data is your playground. You'll manage our databases on a daily basis, ensuring our data are precise and up to date.

Compliance: Ensure that all processes and activities adhere to relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Have relevant experience in high-level autonomy-required roles.

  • Relevant experience ideally from payments processing, logistic operations or a similar setting. Experience with payment systems, data analysis and complex reporting is highly valued.

  • Proficiency in Looker or similar data analysis tools. Familiar with tools such as G-sheets. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience in KPI uplift and KPI improvement

  • Proven experience in process optimization.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively and independently.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and reporting. 

  • Fast learner, able to quickly adapt to new tools, processes, and information.

  • Fluency in English is a must.
