We’re hiring an Operations Systems Specialist to design, build, and maintain automation solutions and applications that drive efficiency across student and mentor operations. This role is critical to scaling our student and mentor services while ensuring smooth, high-quality delivery of learning programs.
You’ll work with tools like Zapier and Retool, along with SQL, JS, and Python, to automate manual workflows, reduce operational overhead, and maintain critical operations applications. If you love building systems that make complex processes simple and scalable, this role is for you.
Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation & Workflow Optimization
- Design and implement automation solutions to streamline and automate manual processes across operations.
- Design, build, and maintain workflows using low-code platforms such as Zapier and Retool, as well as develop automations with code-based tools including JavaScript, SQL, and Python.
- Continuously monitor and optimize automations for reliability and scalability.
Application Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain internal applications that support critical operational workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional tools.
- Ensure system stability, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Identify operational bottlenecks and propose technology-driven solutions.
- Document workflows, automations, and application configurations for easy replication and troubleshooting.
- Build playbooks and best practices for system use and maintenance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, engineering, and program teams to align automation initiatives with business goals.
- Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders on new tools and systems.
- Have 3–6 years of experience in software engineering, automation, low-code development, or operations technology.
- Are proficient with tools like Zapier, Retool, or similar automation platforms.
- Strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, and SQL are required.
- Have experience integrating APIs and working with data flows between systems.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy building scalable solutions from scratch.
- Experience in education technology or workforce development.
- Knowledge of database management and reporting tools.
- Exposure to cloud-based databases, such as AWS Athena, would be an advantage.
