Job Summary:

This position is located in Memphis, TN - As an Operations Support Specialist, you will be a key part in supporting all aspects of freight movement for Trans One.  You will help collect and analyze data, update systems, and work with all departments to find solutions when challenges arise.  This position is required to be on-site daily in the Memphis, TN office location. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile daily yard report.
  • Support Customer Service, Dispatch, & Billing Group,
  • Utilizes intermodal knowledge, critical thinking, & communication skills to maximize productivity, problem solve, and find solutions for customers, contractors, & company drivers.
  • Pull & compile data from, as well as enter data into, various systems & web portals. 
  • Support and adhere to safety initiatives and company policies
  • Responsible for the prompt resolution of all issues brought to the attention of the department and notify leadership of non-routine problems and issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years of industry experience.

  • Skills:
  • Experience Profit Tools is a plus (transportation management system)
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Diligence with a high degree of accuracy.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn
  • Intermodal Knowledge and experience
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly through written and verbal form.
  • Problem-solving and multitasking skills with a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.

Preferred Qualifications 

      • Intermodal Trucking experience (Dispatch / Customer Service)
      • Knowledge of Intermodal Equipment, Rail & Steamship Line fundamentals.
      • Experience working in a Company Driver and/or Owner Operator environment
