What the Operations Support Manager does at Worldwide

This role helps enable communication, collaboration, strategy execution, and special projects across the assigned Business Unit, supporting the Therapeutic Area Lead (TAL) in the achievement of business objectives and the handling of day-to-day operations. Serves as a program manager for various operations initiatives across the organization to achieve successful outcomes.  Works in close partnership with internal and other business stakeholders to help drive business and execute business strategy.  The responsibilities include both directed priorities initiated by the Business Unit Head as well as self-directed leadership work that includes input and priorities from the Business Unit leadership team.

What you will do

  • Organizes the goal planning and quarterly business reviews for Operational results, as well as the output of analytics relevant to the review.

  • Builds the agendas for leadership meetings based on insights and inputs from others.  Drive the accountability of action items through the team. This includes all internal governance meetings.

  • Onboard team members and manage the majority of the first 30/60/90-day dialogue based on TAL’s vision of expectations.

  • Maintain visibility of the high-level vision of the TAL whilst operating at the ground level.

  • Attend meetings and calls on behalf of TAL and/or other Operational leaders and act on their behalf, if necessary.

  • Prepare communications on behalf of TAL to share with other leaders and stakeholders, clearly articulating the needs of the business unit in an effective and efficient way.

  • Effectively triage escalations, which may include driving cross-functional conversations to find the underlying cause of complex issues that have become business blockers or helping ensure a fast turnaround for specific prospects.

  • Help guide the direction of the business by gathering data, industry benchmarks, and stakeholder feedback to drive decisions. 

  • Lead budget and vendor management for BU meetings: hotel contract negotiation, logistics management and coordination with the following meetings/events:

    • Quarterly review meetings: virtually and in person.

    • BDMs/client meetings for our internal team, working closely with hotels and venues if required

    • Bi-Annual Department Head Meetings.

    • Other ad hoc meetings, as requested.

  • Collaborate with management team members to compile and provide feedback on weekly management team calls.

Your experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in a management support role and/or a clinical research environment

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong project management background and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Promotion to the next level is not automatic based on years of experience. Personnel are evaluated on proven competency, level of responsibility, and ability to work independently.

The salary range for this position is annually (For hourly paid positions, the stated salary range reflects hourly rates):


United States of America - $52,500.00 - $104,500.00


The salary range provided is intended to give candidates an understanding of potential earnings. Compensation will fall within the provided range, and it not a guarantee of exact salary. The final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, performance, education, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, we offer a competitive benefits package depending on location. We ensure pay equity and transparency and comply with all applicable labor laws. Salary information will be discussed during the interview process, and we encourage candidates to inquire about compensation at any stage.
