We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our brand new warehouse facility in Midland, Texas. You will join an Operations Team that is key to the ultimate customer experience at DWC requiring execution at the highest level. This individual is responsible for the flow of execution of order fulfillment. Through training, coaching and direction the Operations Supervisor ensures efficient and accurate order fulfillment. This individual enforces high standards of execution and is a model for operational standards. Strong organization, delegation and communication skills will be essential to success in this role.

What you will be doing:

  • Promotes company culture through leadership behavior based on DWC’s mission, vision, purpose and values

  • Delegate and move people & resources as dictated by work

  • Manage the flow of operations

  • Train, coach and provide feedback regarding execution of standard operating procedures

  • Monitor and complete relative data within current system

  • Quality inspect finished orders

  • Point person for order issues

  • Manages order priority and execution

  • Develop training tools and standard operating procedures for perspective area

  • Direct, train and coach direct reports

  • Motivate and facilitate teamwork for optimal performance

  • Participate in the hiring, discipline and termination of contract workers and family members

  • Monitor and communicate supply needs

  • Effectively communicates with internal and external entities working diligently to resolve issues

  • Operate with a high level of urgency, maximum productivity, and profitability

  • Operate all warehouse machinery and tools including but not limited to re-spooler, dye and stripe machine, pallet jacks, fork lifts, cutters, power tools

  • Maintains cleanliness and organization within the warehouse

  • Maintains a culture of Zero Harm

  • Responsible for responding to and reporting machine issues

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a distribution center and production management role with experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, order fulfillment and freight management

  • Track record of building strong teams and developing others

  • Must be able to operate all equipment within the warehouse

  • Experience opening or moving facilities preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Ability to effectively delegate and adjust priorities quickly

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal in a fast paced environment

  • Self starter with the ability to work independently or collaboratively

  • Demonstrated ability to be detail oriented

  • Must exhibit urgency with a commitment to superior service levels

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Extremely comfortable with basic math

  • Highly developed organizational skills

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Customer focused mindset

  • Comfortable with google suite and various software applications

  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 100 lbs.)

  • Ability to work in a position that requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, twisting and reaching

  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000 based on degree of experience
