What you'll be doing;
Lead by example and support the operational teams to show, promote and acknowledge positive behaviours and develop a positive safety culture
Wear PPE and safely conduct all tasks in line with VMR, VMR Toolkit and site requirements
Ensure the safety & wellbeing of all employees and those affected by our operations
Carry out daily site checks in line with VMR requirements, VMS procedures and relevant legislation to support
the managers monthly inspection
Ensuring training and competency checks are completed for all roles and recorded on AVA
Deliver induction training for new starters with a specific focus on Drivers to enhance the onboarding process
Delivery of toolkit rollouts, fleet bulletins etc
Work with the driving assessors to ensure all drivers have an annual Driving Assessment and six monthly
eyesight checks in line with Logistics UK audit
Deliver manual handling and any ad-hoc training including bi-line/spill response/fall arrest/toolbox talks
Complete Team Safe observations in line with VMR requirements
Complete CCTV Team Safe monitoring with the manager
Develop and maintain a training matrix to Improve turnaround times for refresher training where required, and
where mandatory to remain compliant
Facilitate and or where applicable, deliver training / assessments on yellow plant
Ensure drivers/operators are conducting daily checks on all fixed / mobile plant
Conduct Contractor monitoring if any works are being carried out whilst on-site
Conduct emergency drill tests, i.e. an annual environmental response drill
Assisting with legislative site audits. I.E EA, HSE, LRQA
What we're looking for;
Essential:
IOSH Managing Safely
Driving license
CMS Training
Desired:
Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience
NEBOSH Certificate
Transport CPC
Risk assessment
Train the Trainer
Mobile plant license
LGV Class 1 and/or 2
