Operations Supervisor – AM Shift
Location: Braeside | Full-Time Permanent

Team Global Express is currently seeking a lively, friendly, and driven individual eager to join our Operations Team on a full-time permanent contract at our Braeside location.

This role is responsible for all outputs in the morning shift including linehaul loading, shuttles to Altona and receiving shuttles to unload.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Working hours Monday–Friday from 5:00am–1:00pm
  • Supervision and workflow management of AM shift operations including linehaul unloading, PUD allocations and loading, shuttle and bulk loading
  • Allocating resources to adapt to changing workstreams and managing personnel performance and productivity
  • Using BI reporting to track and improve performance in DIFOT
  • Managing performance of admin and operations staff
  • Training and maintaining Safety Standards, reporting incidents and investigating to find root cause
  • Working closely with PM Operations Supervisor to prioritise workflow, improve efficiency and other performance metrics
  • Assisting with Customer Service queries and investigations
  • Assisting with manifesting, reporting and compliance documentation as required
  • Assisting with other admin, fleet or on-the-floor functions to provide coverage as required
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of working in the transport industry at the supervisory level
  • Microsoft Office experience essential, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience managing people in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to multi-task
  • High attention to detail
  • Eager to learn and improve processes
  • Forklift licence and experience loading/unloading freight desirable
