Job DescriptionTOMRA is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor for our warehouse in Vestal, NY
Salary is 70,000 to 75,000 based on experience. 10% yearly bonus possibility
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for plant productivity, safety training, customer service, plant P&L management.
Plant & Processing
Ensure SOP’s pertaining to unloading, auditing, processing and reconciliation are followed by plant personnel.
Commodity processing, inventory and shipping.
Safety & DOT Compliance:
Conducts regular safety meetings, completes minutes and posts. Completes regular safety audits to identify unsafe areas or practices.
Ensures proper Workers compensation and accident reporting completed
Ensures physicals are completed as necessary
Ensures all equipment maintained
Employee Relations:
Ensures all compliance with TOMRA policies and procedures
Performance Review for all direct reports ensure completion for all indirect reports
Payroll maintained weekly
Maintains personnel level to fulfill daily productivity
Works to develop a great company culture to promotes Core Values and Leadership Principles
Employee Scheduling:
Schedules plant employees to ensure that production is maximized and overtime is minimized.
Training and Backups:
Continually train/ cross train employees in all areas, including this position, to maintain coverage.
Staffing:
Maintains proper staffing to maximize production and insure a safe working environment.
Hires new employees by utilizing P&O resources and assistance.
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations management or similar role.
- Proven track record of improving productivity and efficiency in warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA compliance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
