Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound receiving, inventory control, outbound shipping, and warehouse operations to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective distribution. This role leads hourly associates, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures customer service, productivity, and quality goals are consistently achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to):

  • Manage inbound receiving, unloading, put-away, replenishment, and inventory processes.
  • Oversee outbound order fulfillment, picking, packing, staging, and shipping operations.
  • Ensure on time and accurate shipment of customer orders.
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs, including productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and shipping performance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operating costs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members.
  • Schedule labor based on business volume while controlling overtime and labor expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and warehouse best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and incident investigations. 
  • Manage warehouse equipment, facility maintenance, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Prepare operational reports and present performance metrics to senior management.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk the warehouse floor for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or peak-season schedules as needed.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse operations experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing both inbound and outbound distribution operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.
