What you’ll be doing

As a member of CIBC’s Technology, Infrastructure, and Innovation team, you’ll work in a fast-paced back-office operational environment where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. The Sr. Team Leader role is part of the overall Loan Operations team that closes, analyzes, onboards and services the bank's commercial and consumer loan portfolio. As a Sr. Team Leader, you’ll be accountable for providing leadership and management of staff members within a medium/moderately complex operational unit, as defined in the standard operating guidelines, in order to achieve high performance levels and outstanding customer service. You’ll oversee direct reports for the team members who are responsible for the tax monitoring, escrow, and credit reporting functions. The functions involves multiple processes requiring different procedures with varied complexity. You’ll manage all escalated issues based on knowledge, experience and procedures to identify root cause and make sound decisions ensuring resolution of more complex issues/problems. You’re flexible to work our processing centre hours which may include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily workload of team members

• Ensuring procedures are adhered and all regulatory requirements and SLAs are met.

• Help management mitigate risk by proactively identifying potential gaps in processes and controls as well as escalating issues/concerns timely.

• Review and approve loan disbursements, escrow disbursements and credit disputes

• Provide timely and productive feedback to team members and complete performance reviews.

• Collaborate with other Loan Operations team members and business partners to provide our clients with the best experience

• Participate in various departmental/bankwide initiatives

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $95K - $105K for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
