Operations Supervisor (M-Fr)

The M&A Supervisor, Distribution Center Operations is responsible for the planning, organizing, and coordinating of the activities of Distribution Center by providing day-to-day direct supervision and coaching of the associates to ensure production, quality, safety, and store service goals are achieved.

 Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

· Plans and coordinates workflow of the inbound or outbound departments.

· Trains, motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of team members.

· Monitors and ensure productivity and accuracy standards are maintained throughout their appropriate department.

· Issues written and oral instructions to personnel to ensure conformance to policies and procedures.

· Develop team leaders to effectively oversee the daily job tasks of their assigned associates.

· Examines and standardized procedures to improve efficiencies of workers.

· Reviews and ensures all paperwork and daily assignments are completed in allotted time frame (i.e. time clock corrections, attendance, daily productivity)

· Maintains an appropriate staffing level within their area to accomplish the Distribution Centers goals.

· Work effectively and communicate and relate well with others. Maintain effective and constructive working relationships.

· Uphold safety and accident prevention programs to ensure a safe work environment.

· Preserve a union free work environment by demonstrating care and concern for associates.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred;

· Previous distribution center/warehouse experience required;

· Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a distribution or production setting is required;

· A working knowledge of DAX Warehouse Management System is preferred;

· Must be certified, or have the aptitude to be certified, to run all powered equipment;

· Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred

· Work conducted in a warehouse and/or office environment.

· Must be able to use a computer and mouse.

· Continuous mental and/or visual attention; the work requires constant alertness in a warehouse environment.

· The noise level is moderate.

· Able to lift 30 – 40 lbs. on a frequent basis.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.

· Must be able to work flexible schedule, including overtime or hours outside of normal schedule.

· Able to stand for long periods of time and work in hot conditions.

· The physical demand typically applied in this job includes lifting, pulling, reaching, carrying, pushing, standing, walking, stooping, and bending.

· FLSA status: Salaried, Exempt.

· Monday – Friday Schedule
