Operation Supervisor I
Job Description
The building 6 Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations for assigned chemical processing units, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing across all shifts. This role leads operators, coordinates production activities, and supports continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational performance.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily production activities for B6 operators for swing shifts.
- Provide hands-on leadership, including operator training, coaching, and performance oversight.
- Evaluate staffing needs and make recommendations regarding hiring, scheduling, and workforce development.
- Coordinate with Production Planners to manage inventory levels, raw material availability, and production schedules.
- Troubleshoot production and process equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Initiate and submit maintenance work orders and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for the B6 unit.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team.
Qualifications
- Experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial production supervision preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts and coordinate with cross-functional teams
