The Operations Specialist is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining processes and standard work for Red Bull North America distribution facilities. This person will create, document, and implement clear and concise operational procedures.
They will also own the development and ongoing maintenance of warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that measure progress, throughput, and productivity. In addition, they will be solely responsible for tracking, conducting root cause analysis, and reporting on process quality incidents.
This role is also expected to produce reports and actionable insights through data analysis and will spend significant time implementing and supporting business-critical projects.
Job DescriptionANALYTICS
Responsible for generating, reviewing, and delivering quarterly bonus program and check‑in reports for nonexempt employees.
Solely accountable for the accuracy of building and employee performance metrics.
Provide management with confidential performance data and insights for both exempt and nonexempt employees.
Serve as the reporting subject matter expert for data specifications and documentation.
Develop, maintain, and analyze operational reports, including monthly KPI reports and department scorecards.
Ensure all data is verified and validated against both system records and physical operational processes.
Support problem-solving efforts through root cause analysis and the development of actionable solutions.
Analyze operational processes and data to ensure efficiency and relevance, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
Partner with Human Resources to meet defined deadlines for quarterly bonus program reporting.
STANDARD WORK
Determine the most effective methods for warehouse process steps, taking into account systems, customer requirements, operational efficiency, ergonomics, and physical constraints.
Develop and maintain operational work instructions by collaborating with peers, operations leadership, industrial engineers, IT, and other stakeholders.
Maintain and support the work-instruction database where training records are stored.
Develop and maintain a process for implementing operational changes, including obtaining proper authorization and archiving change history.
Train operations leadership on processes and work instructions.
Serve as the subject matter expert on operational processes.
PROCESS QUALITY
Own the development and maintenance of the process quality program at the distribution center. Process quality issues are deviations in internal procedures within the Red Bull distribution center that impact productivity and the ability to meet customer requirements.
Track and investigate the root causes of process quality issues, and collaborate with operations or independently implement solutions.
Review, investigate, and report process infractions for both exempt and nonexempt employees in partnership with operations management.
Play a key role in resolving process quality incidents that affect customer orders and overall customer satisfaction.
Manage incident data collection with the objective of identifying and improving process quality trends.
Collaborate with operations management and industrial engineering to refine and improve process quality standards.
OPERATIONS AND ENGINEERING
Support the Industrial Engineer with improvement initiatives and projects.
Support and implement process improvement and automation projects throughout the warehouse.
Collaborate with the Operations team, Safety team, and Industrial Engineer on process changes.
Audit and support the Industrial Engineering department by collecting time studies of operational processes.
Take ownership of maintaining and reviewing operational metrics and quality incidents with key stakeholders to influence strategy and action plans.
Work outside of regular business hours as needed to support operational projects.
Qualifications6+ years of relevant experience, or at least two years of industry-related experience with a bachelor’s degree.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
Experience in an analytical role and in project management.
Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.); experience with SAP Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse is preferred.
Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines and deliverables.
A quick learner who is self-motivated and able to work independently.
Exceptional time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Preferred certifications include: APICS, CIRM, CPSM, PMP, SCOR, Lean, or Six Sigma.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to execute project initiatives focused on improvement and to support efficient day-to-day operations.
Ability to translate analysis into insights and actionable plans, and to collaborate on and execute those plans.
Understanding of problem-solving methodologies and familiarity with root cause analysis tools.
Proven conflict resolution and influencing skills, with strong relationship-building capabilities.
Outstanding customer service skills and adaptability to changing requirements.
Experience with SAP EWM is preferred.
Familiarity with relational databases is preferred.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Additional InformationThis position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $62,400 - 93,600 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
