Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking an Operations Specialist to join our office onsite in either Novato, California or Rancho Cordova, CA.
The Operations Specialist will act as a central resource for a specialized Bank operation for all internal and external clients. This role is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying a wide variety of data that supports the operations of the Bank. Responsible for introducing new and innovative solutions to improve efficiency while maintaining the highest level of quality. Provides technical expertise to clients, coworkers and management related to area of specialty.
Support Services:
- Partner with branch personnel to recommend and implement improvements to operational and new account procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Develop, update, and maintain branch operational procedures related to new products, system enhancements, and regulatory requirements, ensuring documentation remains current in the Bank Repository.
- Participate in product, project, and branch initiatives—from inception through implementation—including new branch openings and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes, support branch technology, and develop procedures related to retail products and services.
- Evaluate and monitor the impact of new products, procedures, and process changes on branch operations before and after implementation.
- Train and support branch staff on new technology, retail products, services, and operational changes.
- Maintain branch operations reports, logs, and communications (including the Master Procedure Log and Branch Operations Email Log), prioritizing and responding to requests as needed.
- Conduct periodic branch visits to gather staff feedback and assess operational effectiveness, consistency, and uniformity across locations.
- Review and log vendor invoices related to branch operations and support services.
Job Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge and experience in banking operations, systems and applications.
- Thorough knowledge of governing regulations related to banking.
- Knowledge of market or industry trends and practices.
- Ability to apply sound and reasonable logic to complex workflows and issues with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate complex and detailed information both verbally and in writing.
- Innovative mindset with a focus on improving efficiency and maintaining quality.
Professional Experience:
- 5- 7 years related experience and/or training.
Educational Experience:
- Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training.
The hiring pay range for this position is $27.99 to $39.77. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
