Location: Kraków

Hybrid model: Hybrid model 3 days per week in the office /2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

About the team: Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Operations Specialist Reconciliation & Analysis. The Ops Specialist R&A is responsible for assisting the supervisor with enhancing the productivity of the unit in reconciling the books and records of BBH & Co. clients for all security positions and cash. The individual is a subject matter specialist typically dealing with complex issues as they relate to the Reconciliation & Analysis unit and has direct contact with internal operating/client service teams to assist in issue resolution and to ensure quality of department deliverables. This individual will exhibit leadership traits commensurate with supervision and will be relied on for training of all junior staff. 

In our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring daily output standards for both quality and timeliness are met through quality oversight of BBH activities
  • Coordinating control/production related activities
  •  Coordinating intraday and end of day prioritization and reconciliation of daily work/proof and control
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of client's normal cash practices and deadlines
  • Researching and resolving all client cash inquiries in accordance with R&A procedures and controls
  • Providing and understanding the daily, weekly and monthly reports that are distributed to the internal and external clients
  • Communicating with the various internal clients on any items which are out of standard via phone, email and face to face periodic meetings to ensure all aged items are being worked on through resolution. Communicates professionally and constructively to effectively resolve any security exceptions in order to minimize risk and exposure
  • Responding to complex inquiries in a timely manner
  • Working closely with Transfer Agency, Mutual Funds, and Custody to foster strong working relationships
  • Acting as a quality checker for your colleagues

What we’re looking for:

  • BS/BA Degree, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience, financial services background preferred
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and accuracy on tasks completed
  • Desire to provide superior client service
  • Working knowledge of global cash is plus
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work quickly and accurately
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Excel
  • Technical proficiency in internal and/or web-based systems a plus
  • Analytical ability
