General Purpose 

The Operations Specialist has skilled experience working in the Personal Banking Representative position. They will mentor the staff and act as a back-up for the Operations Supervisor as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Proven pattern of consistent exceptional customer service.
  • Expert in deposit processing duties including cash handling and teller drawer balancing.
  • Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks and assists with training other employees on these programs as needed. 
  • Advanced understanding of Alpine Bank products and banking regulations.
  • Assists in training and coaching new and existing staff members.
  • Assists with location audits, scheduling, and staff training.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficiency in customer sales and service.
  • Performs all Customer Service and Personal Banking Representative duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties: 

  • Acts as back-up to Operations Supervisor with certain duties as assigned. 
  • Has the ability to give overrides and audit drawers.
  • Per location request-dormant A or B status may be given if needed.

Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • A Customer Service oriented individual.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Understanding and application of applicable banking regulation compliance.
  • Demonstrates exceptional oral and written skills in order to effectively communicate with both co-workers and customers.
  • Basic mathematical and cash handling skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Good time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic keyboard navigation ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including (but not limited to) Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding and application of banking compliance regulations.
  • Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops.
  • Current possession, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public is a plus.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent recommended.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Drivers’ License is required.

Experience:

  • This person should have mastered the requirements of the Customer Service Representative and Personal Banking positions and generally have at least 1 year of experience.

Working Conditions

Working Environment: 

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. May include some weekend and evening hours. Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Activities: 

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Physical demands standing for long periods of time, good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and ability to handle some mental stress when dealing with upset customers.  May spend significant time doing computer work while occasionally needing to travel for conferences or meetings.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Employee also may have to lift up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion likely.

Starting Rate of Pay is from $24.00 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience.
