As part of Global Reporting & Performance Measurement, the Regulatory Reporting department is responsible for the preparation and distribution of client-specific and regulatory reporting for the entire DWS fund range (Active, Passive, Alternatives).
As a Senior Operations Specialist, you are the key point of contact for inquiries relating to regulatory transaction reporting, in particular EMIR Art. 9, MiFIR Art. 26 and SFTR Art.4. You work closely with various DWS departments, clients, and external auditors, providing guidance on all relevant matters. Within DWS, you ensure smooth operational processes and coordinate, organize, and monitor system interfaces. In this role, you lead projects and drive them forward independently, while your communication across functional teams plays a critical role. As a central point of contact, you share your expertise and continuously contribute to process and performance improvements.

- The Senior Operations Analyst in Client Reporting is responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate creation and dispatch of complex client reports. They serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and all related upstream and downstream activities within the functional team.
- This role plays a key part in enabling communication between functional teams, sharing knowledge and business practices, and developing and implementing process and performance efficiencies. In certain cases, the Senior Operations Analyst may also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the front office and other internal and external parties, especially for time-sensitive, complex, or regulatory tasks.
- Some tasks are highly time-sensitive or complex and require interaction with internal stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact and Business Analyst for changes in the regulatory transaction reporting framework and actively manage communication with internal and external stakeholder groups on matters relating to regulatory transaction reporting, in particular EMIR Art. 9, MiFIR Art. 26 and SFTR Art.4.
- Take responsibility for designing a robust and compliant DWS regulatory transaction reporting framework.
- Analyze existing and new regulations, define requirements for their efficient implementation, and manage their integration into day-to-day processing.
- Drawing on your experience with technical solutions, you support both the business function and the IT unit as a subject-matter expert in the technical implementation of requirements.
- Your focus is on implementing an efficient reporting solution within the prescribed regulatory timeline.
- As a central contact person and expert, you can engage confidently and effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g. Audit, Compliance) and external stakeholders (e.g. national and international regulatory authorities, external auditors) on regulatory matters.
- Represent the Regulatory Reporting function in national and international industry associations (e.g. EFAMA, ISDA, ISLA), where you share your expertise and discuss potential solutions with other representatives from the asset management sector.
- In this role, you ensure consistent and standardized preparation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all required documentation.
Your skills and experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as Business Analyst in regulatory reporting change programs within a bank, asset manager, consultancy or service provider.
- Excellent knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements, in particular EMIR Art. 9, MiFIR Art. 26 and SFTR Art.4
- Preferred system knowledge includes BlackRock Solutions Aladdin and Cappitech.
- Strong ability to work independently with a conceptual, structured, and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess issues, identify root causes, and communicate progress on appropriate solutions effectively.
- Ability to work with precision and maintain focus under pressure.
- Confidence in managing ad hoc analysis requests from Senior Management in a timely and professional manner.
- Very good written and spoken communication skills in English (German nice to have).
