Position title: Operations Research Analyst SME

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Clearance required: Active Secret clearance required, with eligibility to upgrade to TS / SCI.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage a single system acquisition program / project or major functional area, responsibilities to include:
  • Establishing objectives and requirements.
  • Developing budgets.
  • Developing program / project standards and schedules.
  • Monitoring outside resources.
  • Coordinating, reviewing, and supervising work of assigned staff.
  • Reviewing / overseeing preparation of all related documentation.
  • Conducting program reviews, meetings, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
  • High school diploma / GED + 10 years relevant experience OR
  • Military experience E6 and up. 
  • Able to work independently under general guidelines or objectives.
  • Possess advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include:
    • Systems engineering
    • Network engineering
    • Acquisition management
    • Business process reengineering
    • Specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security, etc.)
    • Organizational planning
    • Financial management
    • Acquisition logistics
    • Configuration and data information systems
    • Support or program management.
  • Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under management.

Skills Required

  • Active Secret security clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI
  • High school diploma or GED plus 10 years relevant experience
  • Military experience E6 and up (acceptable qualification)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines or objectives
  • Advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area
  • Experience in systems engineering
  • Experience in network engineering
  • Experience in acquisition management and financial management (budgets, acquisition logistics)
  • Familiarity with specialty engineering areas (communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security)
