Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
Clearance required: Active Secret clearance required, with eligibility to upgrade to TS / SCI.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Manage a single system acquisition program / project or major functional area, responsibilities to include:
- Establishing objectives and requirements.
- Developing budgets.
- Developing program / project standards and schedules.
- Monitoring outside resources.
- Coordinating, reviewing, and supervising work of assigned staff.
- Reviewing / overseeing preparation of all related documentation.
- Conducting program reviews, meetings, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- High school diploma / GED + 10 years relevant experience OR
- Military experience E6 and up.
- Able to work independently under general guidelines or objectives.
- Possess advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area. Applicable functional areas include:
- Systems engineering
- Network engineering
- Acquisition management
- Business process reengineering
- Specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security, etc.)
- Organizational planning
- Financial management
- Acquisition logistics
- Configuration and data information systems
- Support or program management.
- Fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the program or programs under management.
Skills Required
- Active Secret security clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI
- High school diploma or GED plus 10 years relevant experience
- Military experience E6 and up (acceptable qualification)
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Ability to work independently under general guidelines or objectives
- Advanced technical and managerial skills; fully knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of a program or functional area
- Experience in systems engineering
- Experience in network engineering
- Experience in acquisition management and financial management (budgets, acquisition logistics)
- Familiarity with specialty engineering areas (communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security)
