Summary
The Operations Regulatory Compliance Specialist reports to the Manager of Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance - Flight Operations (MRCFO). This position fulfills the required oversight, management, reporting and analysis required of the current FAA, TSA, and other regulatory guidance for all correspondence to and from the company.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details:
B.S. Aviation Management, Government Affairs' or equivalent.
Years of Experience:
Minimum two (2) years of experience in regulatory compliance 121 carrier.
•Ability to obtain an airport SIDA Badge.
•Proficient in MS Office Applications.
•Excellent research, verbal, and writing skills.
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
•Analytical skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at one time.
•Knowledge of FAA, TSA, CBT, DOT, and DoD regulations.
•Knowledge of regulatory changes, advisory circulars, InFO's SAFO's, etc.
•Knowledge of FAA SAS.
Preferred Requirements
•FAA certification: Commercial Pilot, A&P or Dispatch.
Job Duties
•Interface with various departments for research or information-sharing regarding regulatory compliance and safety issues.
•Maintain and update an internal database to track the status and company compliance with all regulatory directives.
•Assist with formal regulatory response writing and distribution in coordination with the Operations groups.
•Track all regulatory correspondence and ensure timely responses.
•Coordinate due dates of Governmental responses for Operations and Safety and Security with the MRCFO.
•Investigate formal or informal concerns from regulatory entities regarding manuals and operations.
•Implement programs that provide oversight of operations departments to ensure continual compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, international standards and Allegiant policies and procedures.
•Assist with the management of regulatory compliance issues discovered within the operation.
•Participate in the safety meetings and continuing education programs, maintaining close liaison with the FAA, NTSB, and industry organizations and associations.
•Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with the conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and in compliance with applicable regulations and Allegiant Air Standards.
•Provide direction to assure Operations departments and Safety and Security achieve goals and objectives associated with regulatory compliance, operational safety, security, reliability, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
•Facilitate departmental modifications to ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry best practice.
•Track and coordinate FAA Voluntary Disclosure Reporting response for all Operations departments.
•Conduct passenger event report processing and investigation to ensure compliance with FAA reporting requirements.
•Assist with Quality Assurance and SAS audits as needed.
•Perform other duties as assigned by the MRCFO.

Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
