We are looking for an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our Consulting Services (Life Science & Healthcare) Operations team in Barcelona. Our team works in the intersection of business, project management and operations providing operational support across different layers of the organization.
You’ll be responsible for a practice area / service line as a business operator, serving as a strategic partner to assist the Consulting business organization to achieve goals and objectives by ensuring that effective planning, management, and allocation of company and external resources are operationally effective.
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of project delivery (both internal initiatives and customer-facing projects), ensuring that project objectives are met within scope, time, and budget. You will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, to manage resources and mitigate risks to achieve successful project outcomes.
Further to this, you’ll be responsible for the management, development and ownership of internal operational initiatives, working alongside colleagues from multiple geographies to achieve Consulting Services goals.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of experience with preference for an IT or engineering background.
- 5+ years of Relevant Experience in a professional services environment or related field.
- 3+ years of Relevant Experience as a project manager or team lead.
- Excellent oral and written English communications.
It would be great if you also had
- Experience with different project management methodologies and frameworks (agile, waterfall, etc.). Certification in project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, Scrum) is desirable.
- Experience with MS Office toolset, specifically good MS Excel or Power BI skills.
- Strong soft-skills, able to interact with stakeholders at different levels and distinct roles.
- Experience working with global and distributed teams.
- Previous experience in Operations (SOP development, design, planning and execution is desirable.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Deliver and manage projects for the Consulting Service organization, leading all project phases from planning to delivery and stabilization. Work cross-functionally with all areas and stakeholders involved in the project deliver with the agreed project management framework.
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks and issues, working with management and project owners as needed.
- Monitor and report project progress, including budget and resource management.
- Coaches and trains project team members on project management processes, methodology and best practices, as needed.
- Define and support reporting and operational processes within the Consulting Service organization, including management, maintenance and support.
- Oversee a Service Line / business unit operational landscape, interacting with leadership team to ensure the targets are met.
- Provide operational support to the Service line, troubleshooting and identifying areas of impact as well as championing best practices.
- Responsible for the implementation of new processes, process enhancements and business integrations, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Other responsibilities include manipulating and analyzing data, creating charts, etc. as well as understanding data flows and reports in technical tools.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent full-time position at 40 hours a week (35 hours during July and August). The position is hybrid going to our office in Barcelona (next to Sagrada Familia) 2-3 times per week.
