Vertiv is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Operations Project Coordinator to support the Switchgear and Busway product lines at our Anderson, South Carolina facility.
This temporary position will provide project coordination and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle, helping ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and effectively communicated across multiple internal teams. The Operations Project Coordinator will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and other stakeholders to track project activities, coordinate information, maintain documentation, and follow up on key deliverables.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and highly organized professional who enjoys working with multiple teams, managing competing priorities, and making sure details and deadlines do not fall through the cracks. This position does not require an electrical engineering background or extensive technical project management experience. The ability to learn Vertiv's products and processes while effectively coordinating activities is more important.
Responsibilities- Coordinate projects supporting the Switchgear and Busway product lines from order through manufacturing and shipment.
- Partner with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Program Management, and other internal teams to support successful project execution.
- Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action items to help ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Proactively follow up with cross-functional teams regarding outstanding tasks, information, approvals, and deadlines.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting action items, and following up on commitments.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information is organized and accessible within Vertiv and customer systems.
- Coordinate customer submittals and assist with tracking approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support communication between internal teams and customers regarding project status, documentation, schedules, and outstanding items.
- Assist with material planning and coordinate with Supply Chain and other teams to support project schedules.
- Monitor project activities and identify potential delays, issues, or risks; communicate concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist project teams with coordinating solutions and resolving administrative or scheduling issues.
- Prepare and maintain project status updates and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of project milestones, communications, and deliverables.
- Support other project coordination and administrative activities as needed.
- 1+ year of experience in project coordination, project administration, operations support, manufacturing support, customer service, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and levels of an organization.
- Comfortable tracking deadlines, action items, and project deliverables.
- Ability to identify issues, communicate them appropriately, and follow through toward resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems, project management tools, or document management systems is a plus.
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability and willingness to learn Vertiv products, processes, and systems.
This is a temporary position supporting Vertiv's Anderson, South Carolina facility. The position is not guaranteed to result in permanent employment with Vertiv. Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Physical Requirements
No special physical requirements. Occasional presence in manufacturing environments may be required.
Environmental Demands
Manufacturing and production floor environment with exposure to industrial equipment and electrical assemblies.
