POSITION SUMMARY
Provide operational support to all Nitrogen Departments (Operations, Maintenance, Technical, Projects, EHS and Marketing). Position will provide an overall coordination between departments in complex activities such as turnarounds, overall operability, profitability and reliability of the nitrogen complex.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in a science related field preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of fertilizer plant operational experience
- Experience in plant commissioning and turnarounds
- Projects/work experience demonstrating strong communication and technical analysis skills
- Working knowledge of process industry practices required
- Strong analytical, priority setting, decision making and performance management skills
- Ability to manage multi-discipline projects with little direction
- Preferred expert-level knowledge of Maximo asset/tag number process, PR’s/PO’s and WO’s
- Fluent in English, oral and written required.
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Actions that define the elements of the job’s overall purpose.
- Support and assist project managers in the planning, tracking and execution of their projects
- Work with contractors, client representatives, internal plant resources and senior management to evaluate technical details and logistics of projects to define the scope, cost and schedule for the project
- Review all process changes and MOC’s
- Assist in maintaining/updating facility specifications and standards
- Inform and advise management of any issues that may impede project completion
- Provide operational input into the development of construction, project and turnaround schedules
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments both locally and across the Company network as well as vendors, engineering contractors and construction contractors
- Create and track project schedules and budgets. Accountable for successfully leading projects from initial design through start-up. Expected to safely deliver projects that meet performance expectations, on-time and on-budget
- Exposure to work near potentially volatile and combustible materials and chemicals.

- Increase plant reliability, profitability and operability
- Projects are completed safely and meet facility requirements including PSM requirements
- Ensure project schedule and budget are predictable and achieved
- Eliminate delays resulting from a lack of coordination between departments
- Provide communication link between all departments
- Provide creative ideas and solutions to problems that have been accepted due to previous failures
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures
