Supplemental InformationThe Operations Officer (Judicial) is responsible for performing computer data entry duties relative to confidential information, answering phones and performing all other related and varied clerical and office functions. Must also assist the general public, attorneys, police and school departments relevant to safety concerns within the courthouse and schools; monitor hallways to address abusive litigants. This position may also be required to perform home visits when necessary; may be required to perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the Chief Judge and/or Family Court Chief of Staff.This position is part-time. Salary is based upon a 21 hour work week.
Required Experience:
Graduation from an accredited high school, including or supplemented by courses in criminal justice; experience such as may have been gained through employment with a law enforcement background; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements.Benefits

Also, be advised that a new provision in RI General Law 35-6-1 was enacted requiring direct deposit for all employees. Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Courses in criminal justice (included or supplemented in education)
- Experience consistent with law enforcement background or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer data entry skills and ability to handle confidential information
- Clerical skills including answering phones and general office functions
- Ability to assist the public, attorneys, police, and school departments and to monitor/address abusive litigants
- Ability to perform occasional home visits when necessary
