Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and meet customer service level agreements.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency, minimize errors, and maximize productivity.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and effective communication.
- Monitor inventory levels and control stock movements, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with inventory management protocols.
- Lead, mentor, and train warehouse staff, providing guidance, performance feedback, and support to foster a culture of teamwork and accountability, as well as hire, perform disciplinary actions, and dismiss as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, enforcing safety regulations and conducting regular inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Track and analyze key account metrics, such as client satisfaction, usage patterns, and revenue growth, to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to anticipate client needs and provide strategic guidance.
- Develop and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Manage supplier performance.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; or certification is a plus.
- Two plus years’ experience in warehouse operations management, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with ISO or other formal quality systems.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with diligence and an initiative-taking approach to addressing issues.
- Solid understanding of warehouse management principles, inventory control techniques, and best practices in logistics and distribution.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of Group O client portfolio industries and relevant market trends is a plus.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds, and bend, stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
