Acme Freight is looking for an Operations Manager to become part of our team. We're looking for an individual with a strong ability to lead a team daily and communicate effectively between all levels of staff. This position is required to handle the day-to-day within our operations and manage dispatch to make sure they are keeping all deliveries on time. A successful operations manager will be able to handle on-the-road conflict and crisis at a moment’s notice. Prior experience in the field is required, looking for DSP exeperience.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- To maintain the schedule of all delivery drivers throughout the week, make switches and changes as required.
- To help oversee fleet changes in the morning before the arrival of delivery drivers
- To successfully assign routes and get morning totes for each route and driver for daily operations.
- Know when to drop or pick up routes based on logistics given and vehicles available
- Know how to proficiently use excel sheets
- Must have good organizational skills
- To understand how to switch routes at the warehouse and assign rescues blocks
- To understand policy and procedure and maintain high standards amongst all drivers
- To monitor cortex, netradyne, and mentor on a day-to-day basis
- To know how to coach drivers on best practices on delivery procedures and must be able to show practice in the field if necessary
- Must be willing to pick up a route or rescue, if necessary, but not always needed
- Must be comfortable managing up to 40 people in the field as well as dispatch
- Help with operational changes to maximize team proficiency
- Must have good soft skills and willingness to communicate what needs to be done
Minimum Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- Must have some aptitude for logistics.
- Must have proficient computer and smart phone skills

- Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays and varied shift times
