Operations Manager

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to manage and coordinate all activities in respective Plant Operational areas including development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality and cost efficiency. Work as key team member of the plant to achieve plant targets. This has to be based on agreed KPI in line with regional standards and policies.

Main duties and expected results in this function

• Manages – leads and develops – of direct reports (Business Line management members) and be part of plant management team with responsibility of overall plant performance
• Manages the activities of SRS, Molding and HV Production in compliance with internal procedures, legal regulations and statutory obligations to meet and exceed the objectives defined in terms of Total Customer Satisfaction, Best in Class Quality and Services and Manufacturing Excellence.
• Allocates direct resources – Production , ME, Program Management, Maintenance -, to achieve the balance between short and long term goals and be part of first line plant management with responsibility for proper allocation of support functions as of HR, Financial, Quality, EHS, MPC and SCM.
• Establishes short and long-term objectives for the plant and be part of regional and global product line strategy.
• Defines Lean strategy of the site, allocates resources and facilitates implementation including assurance that lean tools and standards are used and followed during the daily activities and sets adequate operating plans for future developments.
• Represents the plant/company and its values in the relationships with major customers, suppliers and partners
• Strictly controls the monthly KPIs, defines measures to improve overall performance on quality results, OTD, safety results,  manufacturing cost results and people management in line with Aptiv SPQVC targets.
• In case of any serious quality problems (interests of customer and/or company are damaged, or it high probability to occurrence), based on her/his decision has the authority to stop shipment and to stop production. About this decision, direct leader and quality Manager must be informed immediately.
• Observing all the instructions related to quality and manufacturing rules
• Protection of all the properties being under his responsibility
• Performing all the tasks that are given by his superior related to the job and can be accomplished by the existing knowledge, experience and is in line with the interests of the company.

Environment, health and safety :

• Operations Manager is responsible to apply environmental, health and safety policies within her/his area of responsibility. This includes observing all the instructions related to safety, fire safety, health and environmental rules Protection of all the properties being under her/his responsibility.

Main financial and managerial responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing annual budget of the Business Line, and achieving the budgeted turnover and Operating Income.
• Oversees and controls the activities of the departments in order to improve processes and profitability.
• Responsible for maintaining and improving the organization according to business requirements.

Inter Units or Inter Branches / Liaisons

• Actively communicates with Plant Manager and other functional leaders throughout the CS Business Unit and E/EA Division especially in H/HV product line

• Managing the process and related outputs
• Create and control Inputs and Outputs of the process
• Meeting customer requirements
• Performance evaluation of the process: Measure and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency for respective processes
• Identification of Gaps and elimination of them through Corrective and Preventive actions
• Evaluate and address actions of risks and opportunities for the respective processes of the EOS
• Support and coaching of experts

Roles and responsibilites as Customer Representative:

•           Monitoring the performance of manufacturing process to demonstrate compliance to customer requirements:quality and efficiency

•           Assure Capacity Analysis

•           Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions

•           Monitoring of effectiveness and efficiency of corrective actions actions

Responsibilities within the role of Product Safety and Conformity Representative Deputy:

Information tasks:

• Get information where the product are built in car, make sure organization is getting proper information related product
• Sharing of information related product usage

Notofication tasks:

•  To make sure in case of an internal problem that is affecting the product safety the notification to be sent to Customer
•  Notification of management staff in case of risks occuring related to the product safety of the product
•  Notification of chamges related certifications

Personal profile:

Education:

Degree in engineering or economics, fluent English, MBA preferred

Experienced required:

At least 5-10 years’ experience in management role with broad overview of business processes, preferably in automotive industry, in multinational environment.

Personal characteristics:

Open communicator, inspires others, takes initiatives, able to coach and mentor, leading by example
