We're currently recruiting for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for the performance and delivery of all HR Admin/Payroll services, ensuring quality, accuracy, adherence to policies, procedures, and service delivery remains compliant with legislation and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
Assess changes in the market environment and proactively identify opportunities to improve service quality, workforce management, and system capability.
Lead and manage the workforce strategy ensuring team members have the required skills, knowledge, capability, and a customer‑focused mindset. Ensure performance targets for all team members are monitored, ensuring consistent delivery against KPIs and quality standards are met.
Lead monthly team meetings, daily and weekly check ins with Team Leaders ensuring support, direction and performance oversight.
Support with complex payroll and system queries, applying in‑depth knowledge of payroll processes and varying terms and conditions across education clients, determining required actions and engaging the correct technical or operational teams.
Maintain oversight of all active onboarding projects, ensuring progress, risk management, and client communication are effectively managed. Participate in internal project calls for onboarding clients, managing risks and liaising with clients as needed.
Ensure all Local Authority and locally agreed changes to Terms and Conditions are delivered accurately, on time, communicated to the relevant teams and are applied in line with statutory and contractual requirements.
Attend and participate in client review meetings, ad hoc client meetings, client engagement events, virtually and face to face. Support the People Partnering Team in the delivery of joint training sessions to clients.

Educational industry experience - desired
Effective time management of priorities and deadlines
Showing empathy to colleagues who are contacting our service with pay/HR related queries
A willingness to support on projects and ad-hoc tasks.
