Job Description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overall accountability of Cambria Surfaces office/field operations, leading large installation projects, and employee management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule measures and installations and make courtesy calls
Schedule material delivery with the MN FabShop
Manage all large commercial and residential projects by creating timelines, identifying contacts, and communicating responsibilities and roles
Utilize existing tools, such as Report Server and Job Costing, to improve installation and measure operational performance
Manage weekly employee time sheets
Manage overall inventory levels of tools, blades, bits, and all consumables for the installation crew
Manage the ordering of tools and installation supplies
Oversee shop area cleanliness and care of tools
Manage the documentation of installations and measurements.
Track vacation and time off requests
Maintain responsibility over performance management processes for all hourly Cambria Surfaces employees
Recruit and hire for all office & field operations positions
Create a training schedule, set expectations and check milestones
Schedule employee orientations with Corporate HR
Assist in all administrative duties as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Excellent math skills. (geometry, percentages, margins, mark-ups)
Ability to analyze reports and job costing spreadsheets
Estimating and documentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
Superior organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain focus under pressure
Time management skills
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal & external parties
Must be able to effectively manage and motivate others
Ability to deal with customer complaints in a professional, efficient manner
Critical thinking skills
Ability to foster teamwork and hold employees accountable
Ability to work extended hours as needed (late evenings, weekends)
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including construction sites, homes, commercial buildings, and office environments
Managerial Responsibilities: Yes
Travel Requirements: This position will require travel. Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements: This position will require heavy lifting frequently.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: 2-3 years of sales and management experience, knowledge of construction industry
Systems: Enterprise Resource Program and Microsoft Office
Cambria's starting salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,500. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
