Job Description Summary
As an Operations Manager, you translate the broader TechOps (Technical Operations) strategy into actionable site-level strategies. You align with key stakeholders and implement effective methodologies and tools to drive execution. Your core mission is to lead the site's operational excellence journey, focusing on improving performance, productivity, and quality. This ensures the site's competitiveness, supports sustainable growth, and contributes to Novartis' overall success.You are a key member of the site leadership team, reporting directly to the Site Head. You oversee a manufacturing site with approximately 700 employees, operating in a 24/7 continuous production environment.
Job Description
Location: Huningue, France; #LI-onsiteKey Responsibilities:Lead site industrial transformation journey and build-up site road map to ensure durable competitiveness
Develop and follow-up the medium and long term Site strategy in accordance with the strategic vision of the site and Novartis Technical Operations (NTO)
Coordinate/Lead the strategic projects from site (incl. transformation relevant)
Ensure optimal collaboration and synergies among various units to continuously improve internal processes and seamlessly fulfill business objectives
Build/sustain strong network in and outside the organization and with the operations center
Explore the potential of data and technology to support transformation journey of the manufacturing site in-line with NTO strategy
Encourage others to learn about and leverage data and technology
Lead BC (Business Continuity) agenda of the site in interaction with Global Operations Centers (GOCs)
Min. 4 years of experience in a manufacturing management role within a GMP regulated pharmaceutical environment
Strong leadership capabilities incl. decision making, stakeholder management, negotiation and change leadership
Proven track record in project management, with the ability to lead complex strategic initiatives
Flexibility and adaptability to change in dynamic environment
Proven experience in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in industry
Solid understanding of regulatory requirements across multiple health authorities
Fluent in English and proficient in French
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to motivate and build relationships at all levels of the organization
Desirable Requirements:
Additional specialist experience is preferred (process development, quality, manufacturing technology, engineering).
