We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Osijek!  

 

Position: Operations Manager 
Location: Osijek, Croatia 

 

Position Overview 
As Operations Manager, you will lead the local team with a strong focus on efficiency, integrity, and continuous improvement. You will be a proactive and technically skilled leader, driving operational excellence in a regulated manufacturing environment. Your engineering background and ability to influence customers will be key in delivering exceptional service and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Technical Management Responsibilities: Maintain strong customer relationships by anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively, drive technical innovation and best practices across manufacturing and engineering teams, ensure robust procedures and work instructions that meet regulatory and customer requirements, stay abreast of emerging technologies in manufacturing and materials management. 

  • Leadership Responsibilities: Lead the hiring and onboarding of Functional Managers in alignment with Jabil’s strategic goals, implement retention strategies by monitoring team turnover and addressing key improvement areas, foster a transparent and collaborative environment. 

  • Employee and Team Development: Continuously assess team capabilities to identify development needs. Drive technical training initiatives and support career progression for engineering and operations staff. Develop and maintain succession plans for critical roles within the department, promote recognition and celebrate team achievements. 

  • Business Strategy and Direction: Develop and execute site-level operational strategies aligned with corporate goals, provide regular updates to regional and corporate leadership on progress and challenges. 

  • Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives through process optimization, monitor and report on operational cost trends and performance. 

  • Forecast Development and Accuracy: Lead accurate forecasting for production, capacity, and resources. 

 

Qualifications & Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is essential (Master’s preferred). 

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in a leadership role. 

  • Proven experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices, automotive, aerospace). 

  • Strong technical acumen and understanding of manufacturing systems. 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence customers and lead cross-functional teams.
