We are seeking an experienced and motivated talent to join our Operations team in Hong Kong. The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in all aspects of FX Settlements Process, bank reconciliation check, and serving as a subject matter expert on payment flows and integrations with partners to ensure timely and accurate cross-border payments.

This role leverages a dynamic hybrid work approach, with 4 days per week spent collaborating in-office to drive maximum productivity and innovation.

Your role & responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement of cross-border payments in multiple currencies
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on payment flows and integration with partners
  • Review and validate bank reconciliation statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions, and investigate any discrepancies 
  • To troubleshoot and resolve any settlement-related issues
  • Provide training and guidance to the team to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of new payment integration solutions
  • Participate in the development of automation and process improvement initiatives
  • Communicate with partners to resolve any irregular payment cases
  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the payments team to ensure smooth handover to overseas teams
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations and internal policies
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in banking or payment processing industry
  • Strong understanding of cross-border payment processes
  • Proficient in integrating with partners and understanding various payment flows
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve settlement discrepancies
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely settlements
  • Adaptability to changes in the payment industry and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Good command of English and Cantonese
