About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the Regulatory and Control team within the Wealth and Investment Management Operations division of Wells Fargo. This team is primarily responsible for performing operational functions in support of the firm's securities lending business, and monitoring and resolving post-settlement trade fails. The Operations Manager will be responsible for oversight of the production team and driving efficiency. Additionally, the manager will ensure continued strategy, process improvement and risk control development for post-settlement trade services are managed consistently.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop one or more specialized customer service and operations functional teams within Operations area with complex and risk in functional area
Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to more experienced management
Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives, coach and develop team members to achieve both firm and individual goals
Collaborate with senior leadership, peers, and direct reports for issue resolution and project implementation
Assist in infrastructure implementation including procedure enhancement, process inventory, capacity reporting and depth chart reporting
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years experience with domestic and international settlements (DTC, Fed, and Global)
2+ years experience with process and procedure enhancement and workflow development
Successful completion of FINRA Series 99 or FINRA recognized equivalents
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
Ability to lead and operate collaboratively, execution focused, and results oriented
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
Ability to facilitate and lead meetings to reach conclusions, identify tasks, record actions, and achieve results
Overall cross-collaboration experience required to effectively engage both onshore and offshore counterparts
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Sound analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
