The Role

We’re looking for an Operations Manager to join our rapidly growing consumer health tech startup. This individual will be responsible for leading the overall operations strategy and execution, developed in collaboration with the senior leadership team. You will oversee a team of operations associates, driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality. This role involves developing and implementing best practices, analyzing data to inform decision-making, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure seamless operations. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play a crucial role in driving strategic innovation, optimizing processes end-to-end, and fostering continuous improvement to achieve business objectives and support growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of Operations associates, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and goal achievement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership, sales, marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies, share insights, and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
  • KPI Development and Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations, including turnaround time (TAT), forecasting, and other relevant metrics. 
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational processes, systems, and practices by leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practices. 
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to operational efficiency, such as process bottlenecks, resource allocation challenges, and operational disruptions. 
  • Executive Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership and stakeholders on internal operations and partnership metrics, trends, initiatives, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in strategy & operations roles in one or more GTM functional areas (e.g. operations, customer success, sales)
  • Prior education or experience in the health and medical space strongly preferred
  • High degree of comfort handling challenging situations, facilitating internal discussions, and demonstrating a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in Client Success Management - streamlining processes with external partners. 
  • Demonstrates proficiency in key skills such as effective communication, relationship building, and collaboration. 
  • Has exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, navigate challenging data sets, and develop actionable solutions.
  • Is capable of leading, but also contributing as an individual to a team.

  • Start-up experience, particularly in early-stage technology companies.
