We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to join our growing team in Paramount, CA. The Operations Manager will manage daily plant operation, plant maintenance and leadership of shift crew; by being physically on the floor and leading by example.
As a Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented operations team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.
What will your job involve?
-Facilitates hiring, training, developing, and ongoing floor support and direction
-Performs quality checks on all smart containers entering and exiting the facility
-Conducts regular quality assurance training to staff in line with metrics
-Creates and offers solutions to troubleshoot and solve operational inefficiencies
-Monitors plant equipment and makes minor repairs when possible
-Manages stock control, inventory, and ordering metrics and provides analysis and feedback to Plant Managers and Supervisors
-Manages projects as directed by the Plant Manager or Senior Managers on an as needed basis
-Develops streamlined operations such as process flow mapping, time in motion studies, risk assessments, and other continuous improvement functions to ensure alignment with metric targets
-Oversees regulatory compliance, ISO, and AQIS administration for the site
-Ensures preventive program maintenance is done at the end of each shift
-Engages in effective communication across teams, departments, and organization by using Daniels’ communication systems and platforms
-Effectively manages allocation of resources to meet objectives (headcount, budget, scheduling, etc.)
-Assists in the annual performance review process
-Develops and maintains a productive, professional, and customer-service oriented team
-Ensures compliance with necessary safety procedures (weekly training of workplace, health and safety)
-Ensures that a facility maintenance and upkeep program is developed and maintained
-Keeps machinery, floor workplaces, and operating areas free of clutter, debris, or other OSHA hazards

An effective leader who enjoys a fast-paced environment, the Plant Manager is an integral part of the manufacturing process at Daniels Health. The perfect candidate will need to be able to communicate in a variety of ways, from transmitting information to coaching their people and must be competent and comprehend complex operations. Here’s some of the skills and attributes that would make you a great fit candidate:
-3+ years plant/warehouse leadership experience (or relatable experience)
-Mechanical background
-Familiar with OSHA and similar guidelines
-Knowledge of boilers, autoclaves, air compressor, compactors, Hydraulic equipment, warehouse equipment.
-DOT regulations as it pertains to Hours of Service, Pre and Post trucks
-Proven experience in improving processes and procedures
-Occasionally working in confined spaces; extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 300 pounds;
-Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds;
-Standing for extended periods of time.
-The successful candidate will be required to complete a medical exam (including drug screen), police clearance check and reference checks.
-Works well with others and can motivate people you work with.
-Good communication skills both written and verbal with record-keeping discipline
-Ability to work weekends, holidays or flex hours as needed by production demands
