Job purpose statement
- General management of service contract and Operational activity: Personnel, Operations, Quality and maintain operations KPIs as specified in the contract.
- Contact person towards the client for all operational issues and technical issues.
- Development and further professionalization of the site-based service team
Scope
- Management for the baggage handling system and client relationship management, as specified in the contract.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.
- Direct streamlined communication with the client to ensure maximum synergy between different operations functions of the airport facility and the automated baggage handling system.
- Having direct contact with client management to create prospects.
Qualification and abilities
- Higher level technical/business education. (Master/bachelor’s degree)
- Have electrical and mechanical knowledge (high technical education)
- Experience in management / team leader function.
- Team builder and motivator.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in English and Arabic).
- Proper communication capabilities.
- Site representative of Vanderlande Industries and client focal point of contact.
- More than 8 years (international) service management experience.
- Background in automated handling systems, goods industry and/or system integration businesses.
- Strong customer focus and services-oriented mindset.
- Residing locally or willing to relocate to Dammam (KSA).
- Business functions focused and entrepreneurship mindset.
Responsibilities
- Customers service contract – personnel, operations, quality, and finance.
- Final responsibility for performance of operations on site specific.
- Budget controller for site business related functions.
- Client focal point of contact and Site representative of Vanderlande Industries.
- Manage the Operations crew.
- Identifying, locating, and assessing improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders at the airport.

- Prepare and implement service contract.
- Management of site base team and service contract: staff, operations, quality.
- Problems solving and trouble shooting.
- Continuous improvement of system performance.
- Frequent management meeting with the client.
- Communication with the client and relationship management.
- Co-ordinating with the client and airport stakeholders.
- Cost control and warranty management.
- Co-ordination and focal point of contact with subcontractors.
- Control and improve operation process.
- Coordination during big incidents.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports concerning problems and incidents.
- Responsible for health, safety, and environment on site.
