Summary Generated by Built In

PosiTrace by Global Fleet Management, is redefining GPS tracking for fleets. We build fleet telematics, connected cameras, asset tracking and vehicle security for transport, logistics, distribution and industrial fleets in Canada and Mexico — well established and profitable since 2013.

Mexico is our largest market: around a thousand fleets, tens of thousands of vehicles, and a team in Guadalajara that installs, monitors and supports them every day. We are hiring the person who runs all of it on the ground.

Our culture is built on Resilience, Innovation, Stewardship, and Excellence. We move fast, we take ownership, and we show up ready to win.

Why this role matters

This is the senior operations seat in the country. Everything that has to physically happen for a customer to go live and stay live sits here: the installer on the vehicle, the device on the shelf, the partner in a state where we have no crew, and the operator who answers a panic alert at three in the morning.

You will lead a team of 21 — technicians, coordinators and monitoring operators — across Guadalajara, Mexico City and out-of-state projects, and you will own the go-live dates we commit to Enterprise customers. When a date holds, it holds because you held it. When something goes wrong in a large account, you are the person the customer hears from.

Who you are

  • +5 or more years in operations, including three or more leading teams in field service, technical installation or logistics.
  • You have managed both an internal field crew and third-party contractors in Mexico, and you know what it takes to keep a partner network compliant with labour law and liability requirements.
  • Strong in warehouse and inventory control: cycle counting, serialised stock, FIFO, and variance investigation you follow to root cause.
  • Hands-on with demand planning and supplier management, including imported hardware and customs lead times.
  • You have owned an operational cost line and can show how you brought cost per job down.
  • Confident in front of customers — including senior stakeholders in large accounts — especially when something has gone wrong.
  • A people leader across a mixed technical and administrative team, with evidence of development and retention behind you.
  • You write and enforce process, not only follow it.
  • Fluent Spanish and English.
  • Degree in engineering, operations, logistics or business, or equivalent experience.
  • Automotive, telematics, IoT or fleet services background is a plus, as is experience with an ERP or back-office inventory system, familiarity with field service platforms such as Connecteam, and exposure to ANERPV or private security regulation.

What you'll do

  • Implementation and Delivery: Own the monthly Enterprise implementation plan and the go-live dates we commit to customers, for fleets from 50 to more than 500 vehicles. Own the implementation SLA and the tool that calculates it. Confirm installer capacity before any large project is given a date, and make the priority calls when projects compete for the same crews.
  • Field Operations: Lead the internal installer crew and the coordination desk across Guadalajara, Mexico City and out-of-state projects. Own first-visit success, scheduling discipline, the quality of service sheets and photographic evidence, and the cost per installation — including how travel expenses and false visits are quoted and charged.
  • Installer Network: Build and manage the external partner network covering states where we have no crew. Run the scorecard for quality, responsiveness, cost and compliance, and decide internal or external for each project on cost, capacity and quality.
  • Warehouse and Inventory: Run the Guadalajara warehouse — receiving, FIFO, ABCD zoning, cycle counts and dispatch. Hold the release controls that stop a shipment leaving before configuration and subscription are confirmed. Own monthly count accuracy and the root cause of any variance.
  • Procurement and Suppliers: Own hardware demand planning: the monthly forecast, the weekly review against consumption, and two months of stock cover on fast-moving items. Specify what is bought and confirm it fits the vehicles we install on. Own goods receipt and the three-way check against purchase order, import documents and physical stock, and escalate shortages before they reach a customer date.
  • Monitoring: Lead the 24/7 ANERPV-certified Tier 0 desk — panic alerts, engine stop, GPS disconnection, fuel variance and stolen vehicle recovery. Own shift coverage, operator training and the service manuals for our Enterprise accounts.
  • Team and Process: Develop and retain a team of technicians, coordinators and monitoring operators. Own the operations procedures and KPIs, and work with our engineering team to automate manual work.
  • Customer Escalation: Act as the senior operational escalation point for customers, including at director level in our largest accounts.

What success looks like after twelve months

  • Enterprise go-live dates committed against confirmed capacity, and met — with the SLA measured and reported every month.
  • First-visit success up and cost per installation down, with the numbers to prove both.
  • A partner network that covers the states we do not, scored on quality, cost and compliance.
  • Cycle counts that tie, with every variance root-caused and closed.
  • Two months of stock cover on fast-moving hardware, and no customer date missed for a shortage.
  • 24/7 Tier 0 coverage with trained operators and current service manuals for every Enterprise account.
  • Procedures written, followed and audited — and at least one manual process handed to engineering and automated.

Why join PosiTrace

  • The senior operations seat in our largest market, with real decision-making authority over capacity, spend and partners.
  • Prestaciones superiores a las de ley and a variable tied to the scorecard above.
  • A well established, profitable company that is actively investing in Mexico.
  • Ownership and visibility across cross-border operations, working directly with our teams in Canada.
