Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing production processes, including brazing, assembly, welding, leak test and packaging, including , presses and robotic operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement throughout all stages of production, as well as leading a team toward achieving the company's strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Production Process Management
- Lead the transformation of operations to a world class lean manufacturing culture
- Visionary leader that exemplified company values and ensures company goals are understood and met by all team members
- Oversee and optimize the assembly, brazing, welding, leak test, and final pack out processes.
- Ensure robotic processes are operating optimally and make adjustments as needed.
Quality and Efficiency:
Implement quality standards and operating procedures to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
Leadership and Staff Development:
Lead, motivate, and develop an operations team, promoting a culture of teamwork and effective communication.
Provide ongoing training and development to employees to ensure a high level of technical proficiency.
Planning and Budgeting:
Collaborate in production planning and manage the department's budget to ensure financial goals are met.
Optimize resource use and minimize operating costs.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all operations are carried out in compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Implement and maintain processes that comply with industry regulations.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for the implementation of new technologies and innovative processes that improve productivity and quality.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and suggest strategies for process optimization.
Requirements:
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in an operations management role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in start-up companies.
- In-depth knowledge of brazing, assembly, welding, press, and robotics processes.
- Leadership skills and teamwork skills.
- Experience reading blueprints, drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools: 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
- Experience implementing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Leading a new project launch.
- knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 / IATF 16949 standards.
- Knowledge of safety and quality regulations in the manufacturing process.
Conversational English skills to communicate with customers and suppliers.
Effective communication skills and ability to interact with different organizational levels.
Skills Required
