Position overview: The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the service contract operations crew and overseeing daily activities to ensure smooth execution of services. This role proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include quality control oversight, performance reporting, and ensuring compliance with service standards. Additionally, the Operations Manager serves as the designated backup to the Maintenance Manager, providing leadership continuity in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement of system operations and team performance.
- Communicate performance results and prepare detailed reporting.
- Oversee communication and performance measurement of third-party service providers.
- Manage customers’ service contracts, including personnel, operations, quality, and financial aspects.
- Hold final responsibility for maintenance and operations performance at the assigned site.
- Act as the site representative for Vanderlande Industries.
- Promote and support a strong safety culture, including on-site safety leadership and training programs.
Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s or associate degree; technical or business discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical function related to operations and controls.
- 3+ years of experience in management or team leadership.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience delivering customer-focused experiences within the airline industry through clear, effective communication and service excellence.
- Proven experience managing departmental budgets.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English preferred.
- Experience in integrated operations, stakeholder coordination, and communication.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence both senior management and individual contributors effectively.
