WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Provide leadership and work direction for the team to ensure that resources needed are adequate to meet key requirements related to safety, service levels, cost, and productivity.
Lead day-to-day production activities within the value stream to ensure current commitments are achieved while making improvements.
Participate in and or lead cross-functional projects and kaizen events involving the expansion and/or continuous improvement of the value stream.
Track daily performance; verify team leader counter measures and recovery plans are in place for missed targets. Ensure process center communication boards are being used daily.
Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
Drive Lean culture by establishing and implementing continuous improvement plans and hands-on, high-involvement activities including 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, problem-solving, and TPM.
Drive sustainable year-over-year cost, cash flow, and service level improvements along five categories: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (SQDCC).
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish is required.
Ideally 5+ years in manufacturing operations.
Ideally 3+ years in a leadership position.
Lean Tools experience (5S, Error Proofing, Std Work, Continues Flow).
Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.
Effective communications at both technical and leadership levels.
Conflict resolution skills including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.
Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks timely.
Ability to effectively mentor and cultivate staff growth and development.
