JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited is a growing structural consulting firm that is seeking an experienced Tekla Steel Detailing Operations Manager to join our dedicated team.  

 

We are looking for a detail-oriented team member who can accurately and efficiently coordinate projects to ensure schedules are met and client standards are upheld.

Job Responsibilities: 

    • You should be responsible to ensure company’s operational procedures are working smoothly and are sustainable and make sure these are profitable. 
    • You should be responsible for supervising day-to-day managerial functions, setting training standards, analyze and improve organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. 
    • You should have good experience with Structural Steel
      Detailing & Designing work.
       
    • Provide inspired leadership for the organization. 
    • Make important policies, planning and strategy decisions. 
    • Oversee reporting & planning. 
    • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.   
    • Individual should have good exposure with US Commercial Projects and well versed with Tekla, AISC & OSHA Standards. 
    • Day to day management of projects and staff to ensure quality, client standards and schedule requirements are met. 
    • Coordinate with HQ to meet project requirements. 
    • Coordinate with all Project Managers and Asst Project Manager for drawing packages and issue to the client per scheduled delivery dates. 
    • Work directly with operations director to ensure client satisfaction. 
    • Review project proposal and plans to determine
      time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing structural steel projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of structural steel projects.
       
    • Should have played the role of Project Manager & Team leader. 
    • Maintain work flow by observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel resources, implementing cost reductions, and facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points. 
    • Maintain and monitor quality of the drawings to ensure good quality work. 
    • Interface with other personnel and various department managers to ensure customer deadlines are being met. 
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures 
    • Review customer standards and ensure proper functioning for projects to meet the client standards. 
    • Lead and motivate team to deliver excellent performance. 
    • Conduct review meetings in order to inform employees for production plans, priorities and issues to be resolved.

 

Qualifications: 

    • Experience in Management, Operations and leadership. 
    • Understanding of policy, planning, and strategy. 
    • Ability to develop, implement and review policies and procedures. 
    • Ability to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing. 
    • Excellent communication, organization and supervisory skills. 
    • Proven project management and coordination skills. 
    • Self-motivated and ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal guidance. 
    • Deadline driven with an attention to detail. 
    • Advanced level of knowledge of Tekla Structures. 
    • Must be having knowledge of AISC & CISC Standards. 
    • 5 year experience as a structural steel project manager willing to consider candidates who are able to
      demonstrate
      significant experience in a related field.
       
    • 5+ years of experience in operations for same industry is required. 
    • Ensure timely delivery of all services for the division. 
    • Coordinate with MD, Managers & Technical leads to define the path of the organization. 
    • Master's degree in Business Administration & B-tech (Mech & Civil).

Skills Required

  • Experience in Management, Operations and leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations in the structural steel / detailing industry.
  • 5 years experience as a structural steel project manager or significant related experience.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Tekla Structures (Tekla Steel Detailing).
  • Knowledge of AISC and CISC standards.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and compliance.
  • Exposure to US commercial projects.
  • Proven project management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
