Position Summary
Electroswitch is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Raleigh facility. This individual will provide leadership across multiple operational functions and drive performance related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. The Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, build strong teams, and support business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities across multiple functional areas
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance metrics
- Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and production teams
- Monitor and improve operational KPIs, labor utilization, turnover, and overall efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
- Partner with planning, purchasing, inventory, and production teams to optimize operations
- Identify and implement process, equipment, and facility improvements
- Support budgeting and cost management initiatives
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and employee development
- Ensure operational goals are achieved while meeting customer requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with metrics/KPI-driven decision making
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience improving operational performance and efficiency
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
- ERP experience
- Understanding of labor planning, cost control, and business metrics
- Understanding of P&L concepts
- Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, metals, plastics, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments
