Supply Manager, France 🇫🇷 — Transport Partner Operations

We’re looking for a hands on manager to focus on customers and drivers in France. You’ll lead our Transport Partners (TP’s) operations team owning everything from recruiting and onboarding our TP’s to keeping the whole allocation engine (making sure every customer who has booked a job with us, has a driver assigned to deliver it) running like clockwork.
You’ll be the crucial link between the frontline and senior leadership, and the person who makes sure France has the coverage it needs, every single day.

We operate at pace:

  • Priorities change quickly

  • Multiple initiatives run in parallel

  • New campaigns and structures launch regularly

  • Comfort with ambiguity and constant change is essential.

This role is intentionally not for everyone. This role is NOT:

  • A strategy-only leadership seat.

  • A sit behind reports job, you will jump in and show your team how its done

  • A role where you inherit a perfect team and just maintain it - you drive high performance

  • A place to hide behind dashboards instead of fixing root causes

  • A role to avoid the difficult coversations, hard targets, tough feedback or accountability

This role is for you if…

  • You thrive under pressure and like tough targets.

  • You’re comfortable being in the detail (calls, coaching, blockers) and also building the system.

  • You bring pace and ownership, you don’t need chasing.

  • You lead with warmth and edge: you care, but you don’t tolerate low standards.

What you’ll be doing:

Partner lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, retention, compliance

  • Recruit TPs against a monthly accreditation target, prioritising the vehicle types and geographies where we need coverage most.

  • Own the signup-to-first-job funnel and clear the blockers causing drop-off running 30/60/90 day early-life management along the way.

  • Get partners set up and self-sufficient on our portal and app: find, bid, accept, complete, invoice.

  • Keep TP records and compliance docs watertight, and act fast on anyone who falls short.

  • Own active TP numbers and churn, running a segmented contact strategy (top performers, developing, at-risk, dormant) that wins people back.

  • Own cancellation rate, on-time performance and feedback scores, with a clear coach-warn-suspend-offboard process behind it.

Allocations & platform engagement

  • Match the right TP to the right job, fast and cost-effectively, balancing speed against margin.

  • Get on the phone and negotiate rates as close to the original as possible.

  • Run live availability lists; TPs, vehicles, locations, routes, rates, margins and keep jobs on track.

  • Own the hard-to-cover queue: flag and reprice before jobs become customer failures, and step in on the complex, multi-drop, high-value stuff.

  • Push TPs to win work themselves through the portal and app, cutting down what needs manual allocation.

  • Sort delivery issues fast, for TPs and customers alike, and keep the admin accurate.

Team leadership

  • Coach and develop your team: objectives, regular feedback, 1:1s, data-led reviews.

  • Run the huddles, set the daily focus, and build a culture people want to be part of.

  • Own staffing plans and shift coverage, keeping an eye on attendance and overtime.

  • Be the escalation point when things get tricky, and handle conflict like a pro.

  • Build the SOPs and training that keep everyone consistent.

Performance, improvement & reporting

  • Dig into the data to find root causes and cut cost to serve.

  • Own your team’s KPIs and dashboards, and present trends, risks and opportunities with confidence in leadership meetings.

  • Support forecasting, supply-demand modelling and capacity planning.

  • Team up with Product, Tech and Commercial to keep improving the TP experience.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Fluency in French and English (English is our common business language, so you’ll need both)

  • A proven track record in an operations/commercial leadership role with the ability to build and drive high performing teams

  • The ability to learn new things quickly and thrive in fast paced changing environments

  • Commercial instincts, you know how to balance coverage speed, the customer promise, and margin

  • Performance focused with a strong track record of hitting your numbers

  • Strong communication, negotiation and phone-based influencing skills. High EQ, sharp attention to detail

  • Excel and dashboard skills that turn into clean, fast, accurate reporting

  • Strong alignment with our values

  • Happy and able to be based from our offices in Dakar 5 days a week

Bonus points if you have:

  • Contact centre or logistics experience is preferred

  • Experience working with customers in France is advantageous

What We Do

AnyVan makes moving anything easier, more affordable and greener for everyone. Our sole objective is to use technology and innovation to improve the efficiency and experience of the entire delivery and moving process. With over 2.8 million customers across the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Ireland since launch over a decade ago, such work has made us the largest, fastest growing tech company in the logistics industry. We develop and apply leading technologies to manage supply and demand. This allows us to facilitate the most efficient journeys (routes, timings and costs) for transport providers, consumers and many recognised household brands, including TK Maxx, UniDays, Dunelm, Santander and Hunters. Sustainability is a core part of AnyVan’s mission. Using technology to help reduce environmental impact has always been at the top of our agenda. We’re proud to say we’ve achieved carbon-neutral status on all our transport moves, and we won’t stop here. In January 2022, Vitruvian partners invested £125m to acquire a majority stake in the business and provide growth capital to support our expansion, making the largest ever growth capital investment into a UK-based logistics marketplace and reinforcing our position as the UK market leader.
